Sitio donde llegaban, cansados los animales para ser desensillados, allí también recibían su alimentación y bebían agua del abrevadero, eran cepillados previo ingreso a la cuadra. En el lugar también se herraban a los caballos y mulos.

Concebidas como el alineado o el atrio de un iglesia, son los sitios más requeridos para tomar sol e integrarse con la topografía urbana de la ciudad de aquí podemos observar el cotidiano vivir en el centro de la ciudad y de donde se puede apreciar cómo las casas se descuelgan de las montañas de la ciudad.

Era la habitación donde se fermentaba la fruta en grandes botellones, para convertirla en licor (macerados de frutas), que era expendido en botellas tapadas con corchos, hoy ornamentamos con los botellones las hornacinas del Restaurante La Casona

Con vistas privilegiadas hacia la Nona Norte, la primera impresión de los techos y cúpulas de San Francisco dejarán al visitante asombrado. Este punto es ideal para reconocer la topografía del emplazamiento de la colonia española de antaño.

History:
La Casona Hotel Boutique, located in the historic center of the city of La Paz, is a building that is an architectural legacy of colonial style, built in the seventeenth century. It is linked to the Franciscan Order, who built the Convent and the Lesser Basilica of San Francisco and it was established that during Colonial times the Franciscan Order owned the surrounding land.
But during the long building process of the San Francisco Convent, the Franciscans sold part of the land adjoining the convent for its construction and completion and it is believed that one of the directors of the project was given the ground where La Casona Hotel Boutique it is now as payment. During the eight years of restoration the same architectural and construction elements that exist in the San Francisco Convent were found, among them, the foundation stone, Gambote brick floors, adobe walls, “cañahueca“ arches and ceilings, tiered fountains, hand-carved stone doors and windows carved in walnut wood, original features of colonial architecture. During the restoration of La Casona Hotel Boutique a “tapado” was found so named for hidden treasures which during colonial times in this region people used to store their valuables in secret locations, often at death of the owner of the "tapado" would take the secret of its location with him to the grave. The Maldonado Family has preserved these historic colonial spaces as modern hotel attractions.
